Lipford married 1st Elizabeth Robinson 25 July 1785 in Cumberland Co., VA. She was daughter of Field and Obedience (Bradwhaw) Robinson. Field and Obedience did not have a child named Christopher. Anthony married 2nd Elizabeth Ferguson in Pittsylvania Co., VA 20 April 1827. Anthony P. Lipford wrote the following letter that is a part of George Robertson's Rev. War Pension File # W5740. State of Virginia, County of Pittsylvania, I Anthony P. Lipford a Revolutionary Pensioner of the United States under the act of June 1832 do hereby certify that I married a sister of Judith Robinson of the County of Halifax widow of George Robinson in 1785 and from the length of time that George and Judith Robinson had been living together as man and wife before I was married I feel safe in saying that they must have been married in 1778 or 9, though I was not present at the time the marriage took place but I have no doubt they were lawfully married as George Robinson was recognized as the legal husband of Judith Robinson and received a legatees part of the Estate as such in the year 1786.
