Can anyone tell me anything about the Hill Top Sanatarium, located on Franklin Turnpike, Tunstall, in 1930? Was it a TB sanatarium? Is it still in existence? Mostly I want to know how to go about getting records. There were two children, Nellie Odum, age 9, and Coy Odum, age 4y, 11m, patients in the sanatarium. This is from the 1930 Tunstall Dist, Pitt. Co. census. I'd like to know what happened to them and if they survived. I think they may be children of David and Ollie Odum who were living in Danville in 1920. If they were, they had an older sister, Alice Odum, age 12, who was a lodger in the home of Lester C. and Rebecca Rector in 1930, which indicates David and Ollie may have died and left them orphans.
