Good afternoon, I need the lists help on this one, please. I am searching for the location of John Craddocks farm/plantation in Pittsylvania Co. Va. He gave 150 acres to his wife Mary and another 150 acres to a son in his will, dated 1793. But I just can't get past that. When I've looked at land records in the past, at least the ones I've seen just gives the physical description of the location, such as, "next to P.A. Rawlings, near the split of the creek...ect." Does anyone know how I can actually locate the land location? I want to find it on a map. Thanks in advance. Martha, The book Property Lines from the Old Survey Books: Pittsylvania County, Virginia 1746 to 1840 by Roger C. Dodson might help you in your search. I don't have a copy, but maybe someone else on the list does. If not, you can order it at the following address: http://www.rootsweb.com/~vapittsy/look.htm Cindy (Hubbard) Headen ----- Original Message ----- From: "martha brunson" <marthabrunson@hotmail.com> To: <vapittsy@rootsweb.com>; <craddock@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 27, 2007 4:35 PM Subject: [VAPITTSY] Searching for location of John Craddock's farm,please.... > > > Good afternoon, I need the lists help on this one, please.
