Your grandmother was Marion Adams Kendrick ! WOW ! My first cousin Edith Holt married Claude Thomas Kendrick (1922-1994). His mother was Marion Adams Kendrick !! From the 1930 Census, I had concluded that Marion's father was Thomas Adams! Could your grandmother have been teasing about John Quincy??? I am VERY CURIOUS, since my father's grandfather was an Adams (Pittsylvania/Halifax counties). Would love to hear from you! THANKS Carole D.
