They came to Pittsylvania from Scotland in the 1740s. Some say thgere were several brothers in 1743, and ones name was Robert, and another was William. They inter-married with the McBee family. They fought in the revolutionary war, and ROBERT was possibly in the French and Indian War before that, in the 1750s. Later thay moved to Georgia where they lived in Franklin County for several more years, then on to Texas, arriving there in 1835. If you have any information, I would appreciate hearing from you.
