I have found an Edward Burgess in the 1782 tax list and the 1767 tithables list. Edward may have been born in Maryland in C1735, and died in county C 1814. Over several years of County census records I see a number of Burgess families in Pittsylvania Co. Any help from members of the Burgess family or historians in this area, would really be appreciated.
