Elkanah is listed in the Circuit Court Records for the years of 1820 to 1840, (film #959749) in Ray Co., MO serving as a Juror in 1830, 1831, 1837, 1839 and 1840; he was a soldier in the Mormon War; on the Census Records 9-4-1850 in District 71, Ray Co., MO (fiche #6048383, page 39, film #443620, family #525/525) Elkanah at age 44.
