Beverly first appears in 1777 when he signed an oath of allegiance to the colonies. He last appears in 1799 when he sold property in Pittsylvania Co. before moving to Tennessee. In between, he appears on a couple of tax lists. There were numerous Willard families living in the surrounding counties of that time.
