As it turns out, I just got back from a trip to Halifax and Pittsylvania County court houses and the Library of Virginia. In searching marriage records, deeds, and personal property taxes, I do not think I saw any mention of an Arthur Adams. HOWEVER, I will keep my eyes open and let you know IF I run into anything. I have learned that there were 5 men by the name of "Redmond Adams" !!!!! Makes things VERY CONFUSING! Probably they are ALL related. And, it wouldn't surprise me at all if your Arthur Adams is part of the same family ... especially considering where he is located. Given the time frame, he could have been a brother of my Redmond Adams ... or an uncle. Genealogy takes some strange turns sometimes and keeps things EXCITING !!! Do you have any other info about Arthur's family -- brothers, sisters, wife, children ??? Anything might be a clue toward making a connection !!
