Thanks for your message and info. I never knew the Maddings were from Wales. I figured they were English, Irish, Scots-Irish or Scots etc... Do you know where that info came from? I saw that you had posted a query concerning Wm. Renfro. We also have a Madding cousin/Renfro marriage in Maury Co., TN in the early 1800s, I can send more info if interested. I also have info that you John Jr. either served as a soldier or took an Oath of Allegiance during the Revolution, do you have that info? Was it ever proven that the Madding's came from Wales? I know that it was submitted to the LDS. But is there any proof?
