East and Martha E. Pillow dated 1907 in Pittsylvania Co. Would anyone know if this is the same John O. East, son of Thomas and Elizabeth East, born 20 Sep 1829, died 19 Apr 1909 both in Pittsylvania Co., Va.;who married Nancy Ann Owen, born abt. 1824 in Virginia, died 1907 in Pittsylvania Co., Va. in 1853? It is possible that Martha may have been John's second wife. John O. and Nancy East's grandson (son of David Alexander East and Rebecca Farmer), George L. East (born 1878, died after 1930), married Henrietta Pillow, dau of Irwin C. and Mary Pillow, (born abt. 1870 died after 1930). I have found a Martha E. Pillow (age 30) living with Irwin C. and Mary Pillow in the 1900 Census. It stated that she was Irwin's sister. But trying to find Martha in earlier census' has proven difficult. I wonder if anyone has information that will help me to establish if: 1. John O. East who married Martha Pillow is the same individual who married Nancy Owen. 2.
