    3. Could you please check the name Womack for me? I'm specifically looking for mention of Martin Van Buren (or just Martin or just Van Buren) Womack. All his brothers are listed in other sources as serving, but he is not. He was born in 1836, so he would have been of the right age. In 1850 he was in Yanceyville with his family: 1) Green P. Womack, male age 42, farmer, $3,600 real estate, born in Caswell, NC 2) Elizabeth C. Womack, female age 43, born in VA 3) William H. Womack, male age 17, farmer, born in Caswell, NC, attended school 4) Jas. H. Womack, male age 16, born in Caswell, NC, attended school 5) Martin V. Womack, male age 14, born in Caswell, NC 6) Azariah G. Womack, male age 12, born in Caswell, NC 7) Rufus Y. Womack, male age 10, born in Caswell, NC, attended school 8) Elizabeth J. Womack, female age 8, born in Caswell, NC, attended school 9) David G. Womack, male age 5, born in Caswell, NC 10) Mary C. Womack, female age 3, born in Caswell, NC By 1860, he was living with an older brother and presumably married (jane is listed as his wife in the 1880 census. I have not been able to locate a marriage record for them to pin down a date. 1) Wm. H. Womack, male age 27, farmer, $6,000 real estate, $6,500 personal estate, born in NC 2) V. B. Womack, male age 24, farmer, born in NC 3) Jane Womack, female age 18, born in VA Thanks for making this kind offer! Gail Rich Nestor Smyrna, GA www.roots2buds.net
