If it shows up, disregard it as it will make little sense. Thank you for the information on the identity of Reese Vaughan/Vaughn. I alsmot deleted the notice without looking, having been on vacation and apparently my unsubscribe notice didn't go through, so I'm slowly going through email that's piled up. I have one direct Vaughan/Vaughn line and this one is not exactly a direct line. BL Vaughn's son, Raliegh T Vaughan married Ann Mary Franklin as her second husband. Her first husband, John W. Adams was my 3rd great grandfather snd she was my 3rd great grandmother. John Adams and Ann Mary Franklin had 3 children before his death in the CSA during the siege of Petersburg in 1864. Sarah Judith Adams , thier daughter, married Raleigh T. Jackson and they were my Great Great Grandparents. I had the children of William Vaughn and Bl's brother George, but I only had 2 daughters for George and Henrietta turner Vaugh(a)n. I had Julia b. abt 1831 and Martha b. abt 1840. I don't know how I missed Erastus Reese Vaugh(a)n, but thank you for the information. It answers one of these curiousity questions and clears up a long standing mystery. Do you know if Reese married in VA before he left or on his way to or in KS? Thank yo9u for sharing your information. I have pictures of Ann Mary Franklin (Jackson) Vaughn from 1917 & 1927, just before her death, at her 90th birthday party or so the picture was labled. Through her daughter and both husbands were long gone, she was still living with her son in law, Raliegh jackson and his second wife, along with some of the combined 22 children of Raliegh Jackson and both wives. I've wondered about the first names of Raliegh T. Jackson and Raliegh T Vaughan, one being Ann Mary Franklin's son in law and the other her second husband, but so far, I've had no luck in indentifying who they were named after or if there's a connection between the two or if both father's chose the same person to name a son after? thanks for sharing the information on your GGrandfather.
