I am looking for information on the birthplace of Thomas Walters, who married Lucy Walker ca 1748 (perhaps 1752) in Halifax County, VA (which later became Pittsylvania County). He died before 18 April 1796 in Pittsylvania County, VA, and was a patriot during the Revolutionary War, 2nd Co. His will was of 1795 and was recorded in Will Book 10, page 366. Supposedly his marriage was recorded in the Pittsylvania County marriage bonds page 220; 267 (printed in 1937) to be found in the clerk's office. This marriage liscence supposedly states that his birthplace is Scotland. Thomas Walters acquired around 4400 acres of land in Pittsylvania County during his life time. Please help me if you can with: birthplace or father's place of origin. His father's name was William, I believe. Marjorie Jackson Daub supposedly found a family Bible with some of this information in it. Does anyone know Mrs. Daub or her descendants who might have this Bible in their possession?
