James Coleman ADKINS of Dry Fork, Va b.1845 m. Harriet BURNETT on 10-22-1867. They had 5 children: John Braxton, Emma, William Walker, James Edgar and Urania Virginia. We believe that James Coleman's parents were John and Nancy Adkins and Harriets are Edmund and Mariah BURNETT (also listed as Edward and Maria Burnett?) A Thomas Burnett married an elizabeth ADKINS of the same time. Coleman is a name that has been passed down. I find it interesting that your ADKINS married into a COLEMAN line. Do you see or know of any relationship between our two families? Would be glad to share info.
