Below is a piece of the 1850 Pittsylvania Census (Northern District), transcribed by the Pittsylvania RootsWeb List group (Thanks). I have not been able to place Household 569 in the greater Shelton family - who was this Coleman Shelton, born c. 1790? He must be related to Victory or Mary somehow - I think I have a pretty good line on Victory, and don't see any Coleman. But Mary is just noted as 'maiden name Shelton', making me suspect Coleman was her father. Ann (33) could be a (widowed) sister-in-law, and the remaining kids hers? (Or even a sister, also married to a Shelton, the way this family operated.) Does anything in this family group ring any bells with anyone? Thanks.
