Virg in 1827 and later. Nancy was the oldest, James Jackson b1828 in Scott, Wiley and Julie, with his first wife Sahra Prater. He remarried in 1853 Johnson Co. Ky. to Sahra Jorden and had a couple more children. My Grandfather had always told me that James Jackson's father was named William, but on James Jacksons Marriage application it said Amos Bays, father, consents. Johnson Co Ky. records indicate that Amos was born in 1803 Pittsylvania Co. My family is notorious for going by their middle names, my Grandfather, GGrandfather and GGGrandfather all went by their middle names,(as do I "Ken")so it's possible Amos was a William Amos, but his Marriage certificat says Amos. I believe Amos is tied to the Peter or William Bays line that came to Pittsylvania but can't prove it. My Grandfather's name was James Peter so the name Peter appears throughout my linage
