    3. Tom: I am also a descendant of Capt. Benjamin Clement and Susannah Hill through their son Capt. Adam Clement who married Agnes Johnson. Capt. Charles Clement, s/o Capt. Adam Clement and Agnes Johnson, was b. ca. 1786 Campbell Co., VA, d.22 Jul 1838 in MO at the home of his nephew Dr. William Lacy, m. 17 Nov 1804 Patrick Co., VA Nancy Hanby, d/o David Hanby and Jane Dalton. He inherited "Clement Hill" (or purchased it from the heirs). Charles Johnson Clement, s/o Charles Clement and Nancy Hanby, was b. 22 Apr 1821 VA, d. 12 Feb 1842 Pittsylvania Co., VA, m. 15 Apr 1839 Pittsylvania Co., VA Lucy Ann Hunt, b. 15 Sep 1819 VA, d. 1 Jun 1860 Pittsylvania Co., VA. Nancy Katherine Clement, d/o Charles Johnson Clement and Lucy Ann Hurt, b. 4 Feb 1840 Pittsylvania Co., VA, d. 24 Dec 1872 Pittsylvania Co., VA, m. 5 Feb 1802 Maj. John Lynn Hurt, b. ca. 1836, d.12 Sep 1881. Maj. John lynn Hurt willed "Clement Hill" to his nephew also named John Lynn Hurt. The nephew John Lynn Hurt willed "Clement Hill" to the Town of Hurt. The town sold it to a private individual or corporation, who, I believe, still owns it. Thats's my take on it. Richard K.
