Could someone who is very familiar with the Keesee family confirm or further explain a discrepancy for me? I am looking at a chart for the children of Jesse Keesee (c. 1750-1829). One of his children is Amy. I am then looking at a list of Jeremiah Keesee's children, from his will, and there is an "Anna Keesee Turley". I am then looking at someone's list of their ancestors, which lists JEREMIAH as having a daughter named Ann "Amey" Keesee, who m. Thomas G. Turley. Now I know, or think I know that JESSE's daughter "Amey" m. Thomas G. Turley. It looks like someone has merged "Amey" into "Ann", because both m. Turleys. So, my question is, aren't there two women, one Ann, one Amy, not just one. And if so, I know who Amy married (Thomas Green Turley) but who is the Turley that Anna married? I would appreciate some help with the Thomas Turleys when you get this sorted out. I was looking at census and tax lists for Pittsylvania today at the library and I am confused. And who is Spencer Turley? This is back in 1810.
