The Hanks family had 2 connections to my family. In Halifax Co., VA, 1792 My Martin True married Mary Hill, who had hanks in-laws. In Yalobusha Co., MS in 1835, Eli Hanks,(born KY) son of George, married Mariah Hardin, sister of my g-grandmother, Jannet Hardin Hudson. All these people from MS went to Texas to the area that then comprised Shelby Co., Texas (now several counties). While there, they were involved in the Regulator-Moderator War 1842-1844. My Martin True went with Hill and hanks relatives to Pulaski Co., KY and on to Maury Co., TN. Are any of these Hanks the ones you seek?
