Jones b. 11-Feb-1795 who married 1st Jane G. Thompson and 2nd Mary F. Reamy b. 1-Apr-1815 The transcription of the 1850 census I have by Mike K. Williams reads differently. It lists "James L." (16) and "John T." (14) as children. James and Jane's children were: Labinda K. Jones 11-Jul-1828 Martha E. Jones 28-Feb-1830 George Washington Jones 1-Jun-1832 James S. T. Jones 3-Sep-1835 John Thompson Jones 24-Jul-1836 Mary Jane Jones 8-Dec-1838 James and Mary had no children. This family lived along Rte. 640 near Chestnut Level. James S. Jones is a son of Thomas Brooks Jones and Rebecca; Thomas Brooks Jones is a son of Thomas Jones, Sr. and Mary Brooks. They're my distant cousins -- curious to know your connection, of course! Tom >> My information says that Jane was Jane G Thompson(18 Jul 1807-09 Mar 1841). She was the dgt of George Washington and Jane (Stott) Thompson, who came from Amelia Co., VA. Do you have any more info on James Jones and their children? I have Martha E marrying James M Adams, but that is all. I can speculate that their son James died in the Civil War(d. 11 May 1861). Am also looking for a Powhatan Thompson who was born in Aug 1862 to a Ann or Sallie Ann Thompson...no father was listed on Powhatan's marriage certificate. Powhatan had an older sister and younger brother, William who was born in Mar 1866...If you can help me on this end, this would help tremendously...thanks, Nancy in MD
