Pat, There were two Martha "Patsey" Worshams in Pittsylvania Co. at the same time. One born abt 1783 & md William Bybee abt 1803 who is d/o Henry Worsham & Agness Kelley. She is listed in her father's will dated 24 Nov 1815 as Patey Biby and in the will of her brother Henry dated 2 Sep 1821 as Martha Bybe . The other Martha "Patsey" Worsham md John Worsham Mar 1801. On 15 Apr 1799 Her uncle, John Worsham sold to Martha for 55 pounds land located No. side of Dan River-Joshua Worsham's line containing 60 acres (p 437 Book 11 GS#33268.) She married John Worsham in 1801 in Pittsylvania Co.,Va. She & her husband John Worsham sell this land from Washington Co., Va. on 2 Apr 1803.-(pg 239 DB 14 Pittsylvania Co., Va.) In Order book 11,p 336 contains a suit between Edmund Fallow and John Worsham, "who hath intermarried with Patsey a daughter and legal representative of Joshua Worsham the younger, dec'd. Her uncle John Worsham, Sr. was her guardian when she and John Worsham,Jr. were married Mar 1801 in Pittsylvania Co. In 1824, she is a legatee of John Worsham, her uncle of Pittsylvania Co., Va. and received $1250 as well as her husband John Worsham s/o Robert Worsham & Ruth Wynne. Robert Worsham, John Worsham & Joshua Worsham, Jr. were brothers. All three plus other children were named in the 1771 will of their father Joshua Worsham, Sr. From the above information Martha Worsham Bybee remained in Pittsylvania Co. Martha (Worsham ) Worsham moved to Washington Co., VA in about 1803 & later on to Chariton Co., MO. I hope this helps clear up your confusion.
