Hi Shelton, I just started or will be soon, researching Shelton and Morgan and that will complete my connections with the my father's side of Chattin History. The only thing I have at this time is my Great Grand Father, Williams Griffin CHATTIN Sr. married Eliza Tom Wooding SHELTON, Born: 12-25-1841 in Gretna, Pittsylvania County, Virginia and Died: 1-28-33 in Goodview, Bedford County, Virginia. They married in Pittsylvania County 12-1-1870. That is as much as I have done right now. Also, this summer with working so much overtime, yard work and other honey do's I won't have the time, until fall or winter returns. My grandfather is William Griffin CHATTIN Jr. and his wife is Ossie Vera Morgan. They came to Botourte County from Goodview, Bedford County, Virginia. Wm. G. CHATTIN Sr. father was Jesse Henry, Thomas C., John, Thomas Cornelius, ThomasII and ThomasI. The first Chattin came to America in 1652/53 in Lancaster County, Virginia. It was another Chattin came to America in New Jersey at the close of the 1600. I don't have that connection, but I can connect you or any one that has done most of the research.
