    3. Hi all. Just thought I would interject here. I don't know much about those you are discussing, but I thought I'd shed some light on "Fannie" and Frances/Francis. Francis - male version of the name. It has the "I". Frances - female version of the name. It has the "E". Fannie is a nickname for Frances, so when you say that he had a daughter named Frances but not Fannie, this is....incorrect, unless they never called her "Fannie". I hope that I've shed some light on the situation, and helped a little.
