He is the father of Lucy Wade who married Bryan Ward Nowlin I ca 1764. She was born 11 Nov 1746 and died in Pittsylvania Co in 1789. They had the following children: Elizabeth (married Joseph Deven), Peyton (married Lucy Townsend), Bryan Ward II (married Elizabeth Townsend), Lucy, Susanna, James, David, (married Mary Jones and the Widow Bates), Mary "Polly" (married James Mahan), Richard Wade (married Celia Skelton), and Catherine (maried James Berger) There are two Ed. You will want to look at: "Edward and Mary Wade of Virginia," Va-Nc Piedmont Genealogy Society, Vol. 3, 1981, pp 106-111. Edward Wade left Pittsylvania with Nowlin and Stephen Senter and spent some time in Sullivan County TN in the 1780s. Nowlin returned to Pittsylvania, but Edward and Mary (probably Mary Clement) migrated to Greene County GA where he died in 1790. He may have also lived for a bit in Pendleton County SC. ---------------------- James F.
