Henry had a son, WILLIAM JOHN DALTON, b. 1798 VA d 1870 KY. WM JOHN migrated to TN ca 1820 and married woman named ELIZABETH. His oldest child b. 1826 listed White Co. TN as place of birth. WM JOHN was in Livingston Co. KY by 1860. Is this family familiar to anyone? They are supposed to be from Pittsylvania Co.

    3. Bill, Have you told us all you know about this Henry and his son William? How confident are you of the dates below and what is your source for them? I have an extensive list of Pittsylvania Daltons. Those we know were having children c1766 were: Timothy of Bedford (would be last child by several years) Robert m. Mary Key (probably not him because he names youngest children in will and Henry is not among them). David, m. Hannah. (would be last child by few years). John, m. Patience. (would be last child by four years). James, s/o Timothy of Bedford. David, s/o John (would be first child by three years).
