Hello to the list, I'm a new subscriber. I'm planning a trip to Pittsylvania County in the next couple of weeks And would like to visit the area where my ancestor, James A. RIDDLE, Lived before 1850. He was not far from Callands, near the headwaters of Sandy River. If anyone could suggest historical sites, or genealogical resources, To visit in this area, I would be most grateful. Just don't want to miss something That "I should've seen." Also, family tradition refers to a "Crossroads Church" in this area. Not sure if that was its proper name, or just a reference to its location. Would love to hear if this rings a bell with anyone. Norma Riddle Helms
