Dear List, Dorothy's answer shows the real value of these 1852 Scrip Act papers, it is not just the 800 veterans mentioned, but their descendants.....her answer concerned grandchildren of the Veteran. Please check your local libraries and see if you can get access to a copy of the book. If each veteran had 10 grandchildren , we are talking at least 8,000 heirs. I will take the time to try to put on the list, men out of Southside VA, that may have had descendants in Pittsy....regards, Margie Brown
