Hi List I'm researching this JOHN HODNETT family. John (DOB June 08, 1829) was s/o JAMES HODNETT (b. 1799) and MARY POLLY JONES married MARY ANN TUCKER (DOB February 23, 1840) d/o WILLIAM TUCKER and NANCY FARIS on May 20, 1857 in Pittsylvania. John was a Civil War veteran and also had 4 brothers that served. James Hodnett's father was JOHN HODNETT (DOB June 20, 1767) and his mother was a LUCY DAVIS b. Abt. 1771. They were married November 09, 1792 in Pittsylvania. I believe that Lucy Davis was the daughter of JOHN DAVIS AND FRANCES UNKNOWN. According to John Davis's will dated 1807 and probated in 1808, he had two sons WILLIAM and JOHN. His wife was FRANCES and his daughters were CATERINE?, ROSEAN?, EPPY?, SALLY and LUCY. Does anyone else have any information on this family? I also believe John Davis's son William married a LUCILLE MEADE. Thank you Dianne
