Eckenrode and published by the Virginia State Library and Archives; Vol. 1 pages 162-163: Finn, John, Pitts., 41 Finn, Michael, Pitts., 41 I am interested in finding the family of John Finn listed above. He left Pittsylvania County, VA and settled in 1781 in Lincoln County, KY. He married a woman named Artemesia before he left Pittsylvania County, VA. He remained in Lincoln County, Ky until June 1785 when he moved to Woodford County, KY where he remained until his death in April 1818. He was receiving a pension in 1810 for his Revolutionary War Service but the records were destroyed when the British burned Washington, DC in 1814. He also spent some time in the service under the comand of George Rogers Clark in his Illinois Regiment. Does anyone have any information on this Finn family and their connection to Pittsylvania County, VA? Sincerely, MichaelAnne
