I am in the beginners stage of researching but have been in contact with a distant cousin, Samuel Eanes of Henry Co,Va. Sam is the one who was able to put names together for me as I only knew my grandparents and greatgrandparents.His information fits the info you have. You can try reaching him at SEANES@digdat.com . I believe I descend through Henry Woodson And Elizabeth Griggs Eanes' son Thomas Eanes and his wife Nannie Alice Gray. Thomas and Nannie's son Archer Thomas Eanes was my greatgrandfather who passed away in March 1979 and is buried on my grandfather's farm in Pittsylvania Co Va. My grandfather is Stuart Edward Eanes, Sr and my father is Stuart Edward Eanes,Jr. I have been looking around and most of what I have seen on the net indicates that (like others have already responded to) Henry is a descendant of Edward and Jane (Sublett) Eanes from the Sublett's of Charlotte County and The Eanes' of Chesterfield County. Of course I still have not personally gathered any proof, that is my next step.
