Good Morning,Gayle! Recently I sent you an article about the murder of George Craft at the hands of his brother, Armstead Craft. I can't find it on the Pittsy website. Additionally, I sent the will of William Parker. I can find the will listed under "Wills", but you can't find it by searching. Is there something you can do so that the website "search" feature will pick it up? Thanks so much, Sallie ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better Globetrotter. Get better travel answers from someone who knows. Yahoo! According to the marriage license, parents of Alexander were William and Elizabeth Dalton. Those of Sally were William and Ann Irby. Both the bride and the groom were 21. We believe my ancestor, James Flunory Dalton, born May 21, 1874 in Halifax County, was descended from Alexander Dalton & Sally Irby, who according to the Virginia marriage records were married July 6, 1873 in Pittsylvania County. Our theory is that Alexander was the son of William Dalton and Elizabeth Compton, married Nov. 15, 1842 in Pittsylvania County, and that William was the son of Henry Dalton and Nancy Owen, married July 8, 1818 in Pittsylvania County. However, we have been unable to find any definitive evidence linking the sons to the parents.
