Vaughan and Sarah East: Oliver Presley Vaughan, was born abt. 1852 in Virginia. He was the son of Elbert J. Vaughan (b. abt. 1828 in Pittsylvania Co., Va, d. 19 Aug 1861) and Abigail Simpson (b. abt. 1834 in Va.) My interest in the Vaughan's is only through their connection to the East family, however, Oliver was found living with his grandfather, Presley Simpson and his sister and brother in the 1870 census, I had found an Oliver P. Vaughan living in North Carolina in 1880 and 1900, but was unable to establish whether the NC Oliver was the same person as the VA Oliver. So I am afraid that is the only information I have on him. Good luck! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
