I have info from World Tree Maker, Vol. I, Tree 1248 about Basel (Bazel, etc) Sr. & Jr. According to that tree, Bazil Nelson, Jr. was born December 15, 1785 in Pittsylvania Co.; d April 3, 1861 in Williamson Co., Illinois. His mother, wife of Bazil Sr. was Rebecca - surname not given. She was born btw. 1739-1853, place not given. I have their children, if you want them. This same tree gives Bazil Sr., death as btw 1758-1769, place not given. His estimated death date is 1789-1855. This next is info from my living relatives. Bazil Jr. m. Elizabeth Chattin (as you know). They had Nancy Nelson who married Samuel Mansker (we are now in Illinois). They had Elveretta Mansker who married my great grandfather, John Vance Wood. They had my grandmother, Carrie Wood who married Edward Andrews who had my father, Aubrey Andrews. I have dates and children of some of these. I'm sorry I didn't start researching this part of my tree before, but I'm doing several sides of different families at once. I just picked the Chattins to work on 2 days ago. Let me hear from you. I live near San Francisco airport in Burlingame, CA. Do you know where in England or Wales all the Chattins started? Pat Lippi

I have 55 members of my family tree at present, 41 of them being direct blood lines. The project now contains over 68 pages of typed data on all aspects of the War and The various units our Brave Men served in. I have also listed over 200 non family members from the area that served in the war as well out of respect for them. I will be adding a few maps, pictures of the men that I have located, pictures of some of their tombs, and pictures of some of the battle fields when the project is in it's closing phase. If anyone else who reads this would like to add any additional information on families in the war please feel free to contact me, so I can compile a very acurate repsentation of the Brave honorable men of Pittsylvania County. Also would love to see if any additional pictures are available to be added. Everyone who has provided any information is given credit for their information. Again thank you for your help and understanding with this project, this is my tribute to their memories, may they never be forgotten. Respectfully Yours, Michael D. Kendrick 10424 Genito Rd. 3. Laura, The Chancery suit, Bobbit v. Dalton documents that Mildred's parents are Lewis Dalton and Mary "Polly" Keezee. They were married in 1797. The 1850 census indicates that Mildred was born in 1799. Do you have a different source indicating a birth in 1787? This would make her illegitimate by several years and a late bride.
