Still trying to find family of John ADAMS ca 1802 VA, lived in TN, KY, and Southern IL, died ca 1859 probably White Co.,IL. Most of the children moved to Jackson and Williamson Co.s, IL. I'm wondering if he is son of John and Elizabeth BURTON ADAMS of Pittsylvania Co., Logan Co.,KY and Marion Co.,IL? John 1802 VA left home for a few years to do whatever young men do, returned, and the family had moved on. family oral tradition says he never found them again. Looking at his travels, I'm wondering if he was following after them re: hearsay? Anyway, the children of John and Elizabeth BURTON ADAMS are not complete, from what I see my John could very well be a child of these people. Thank You, Kathleen Gloyne Mt. Shasta, CA

Time period 1770 to 1808. His wife was Rhoda ( Rody, Rodie) -?-. It’s been passed down through Barnett and Rhoda’s granddaughter that her grandmother was a Weatherford. The granddaughters name was Rhoda Weatherford Burnett; she was the daughter of Godfrey Burnett, son of Barnett and Rhoda. Her name is on several deeds and also on a will in Arkansas where Godfrey and his family moved to around 1855 from Henderson County, North Carolina. I have identified a John and a William Weatherford living in the same areas as the Burnett family in Virginia during this time frame but have not been able to place a daughter who may have married Barnett Burnett. Can any one shed any light on these families. Any help is greatly appreciated. Many Thanks, Mary Burnett

We account for all of Zadock's offspring, so I am not descended from him, but we very likely have a common ancestor with Zadock. So, I have just started looking for info to see where this will take me. Melissa
