In January of 1850, Milner Echols of GA wrote a family paper on the Virginia immigrant John Echols family and is a great starting point for Echols research, especially for the branches that headed into the Carolina's and Georgia, but it is way to long to recite. Correction: Elizabeth Ferguson Lipford was born about 1790. I do not believe this was a second marriage for her because her sister was Mary Ferguson....same last name.
