    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: onehunter Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.virginia.counties.pittsylvania/3304/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Still searching for any clue that would connect the family of Beverly and Isabel Willard to other Willard families of this area. Beverly first appears in 1777 when he signed an oath of allegiance to the colonies. He last appears in 1799 when he sold property in Pittsylvania Co. before moving to Tennessee. In between, he appears on a couple of tax lists. There were numerous Willard families living in the surrounding counties of that time. Should you know anything about this family, I will greatly appreciate your contact. (1)DEED BOOK 21:592 28 December 1807 Thomas Fletcher bought 100 acres from Wm. Buck located in Halifax (2) December 23, 1816 THOMAS FLETCHER m. secondly to SUSANNAH BAYES marriage licence (3)JOHN FLETCHER married Seeny Compton May 4, 1811 (I don't know if this was in Pittsylvania or at Halifax) (4) Deed Book 51:495 Deed of Thomas Fletcher estate by commissioner to Asa Garner 26 October 1846 per decision in July 1846 from Fletcher vs Fletcher brought to court November 1845. (I'd like a copy of this and any document which might tell me who the "Fletcher vs Fletcher" were... ie John,Joseph,Sussana ect.) Thank you for any help in this matter, Nadine Curb Christall

They later moved to Pittsylvania Co. Va. William Anderson Dove b. ca 1828, d. 10 June 1866, married Anna Haynes, b. 1832. She died in Attica, IN. They were the parents of five children, all born in Pittsylvania Co. William was killed in the Civil War shortly before their fifth child was born. Anna married second John East, and they had two sons: Charles and Jessice. The children of William Anderson and Anna Dove were: 1) Elizabeth Tamatress, b. 28 Sept., d. 13 Apr. 1930 in Russell Co. Va. She married John Crisman Wagoner, b. 15 May 1853, d. 9 Sept. 1935. They had two children" These two children were my great-grandmother, Nancy Elizabeth Wagoner, and her brother William Wagoner. I would appreciate any information you have on this Dove family. I have found one Richard "Haines" in 1820 (or 1830) Pittsylvania census. I wonder if he is Anna's father. The theories about Mildred Dove are interesting! I did spot her on the Pittsylvania census with a daughter Anna b. 1832. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
