Barb, Since you asked.......... I am looking for SPENCE and BRIM on my husband's lines. As for me, I am looking for HURD or spelling of Herd for my 93 year old grandmother. All she remembered was that her father's parents were named John Claiborne Hurd and Martha. She had an uncle Claiborn Jackson Hurd who died at 19 and I have located his death record in 1898. I'm also looking for BENTLEY'S and GREEN'S on my side. My husband's lines include VANDEGRIFTS who were born in Patrick, as well as REED. My husband was born in Stuart, myself in Martinsville.
