Sarah, have you had any contact with Judy or Edward Midkiff. They are brother & sister who were living in Pittsylvania Co., maybe 10 years ago. A copy of their Midkiff Family History came into my possession. I didn't make a connection at the time and filed it away. It is a great piece of work and today it looks more like family than it did before. It starts with a Jacob Midkiff arriving from England in the mid-1700's. His son, according to family lore, was John Midkiff who married Mary a daughter of Joseph Parsons, 10 September 1782. What do you think? James
