Peggy, Poor House Creek runs southeast from Lover's Leap area to the Mayo River just west of Stuart. It seems the entire creek is east of present day US 58. This is per a topograpic map of the area. He has been very difficult to pin down, but I just received some information that leads me to believe that his home may have been on Poor House Creek.
