I am a BRANHAM descendant myself. My (3gr)grandmother, Frances BRANHAM, was the daughter of David BRANHAM, Sr. and Frances BASKETT and married Valentine AKERS about 1790. We haven't found a marriage record, but they stayed in Montgomery Co VA until about 1800 when they, along with the majority of the BRANHAM family, migrated to Floyd Co KY.
