Today I had a letter from a subscriber on one of Hickory Co. MO. He was bomb barded with spam. To the point he had me remove his name from everything we could find on Hickory Co. This is sad. First, that we can not run our free information, posted by hard working volunteers, without someone finding a way to gain access to our mail list. Second, that a person who seeks to do their research and enjoy it can not do so because of uncaring people out to make a buck. THIRD, GOOD NEWS. Roots web got right on the problem and has monitored Hickory co. all day. They have intercepted spam. I don't know how they will get the problem fixed, but I have confidence that they know a lot more about what to do than me. I have sent this through all the mail list I subscribe to so to let you know if you are having a problem with SPAM, give rootsweb a chance to fix it. It is the people who make this USGenWeb a success, without you we would have nothing to volunteer for. Also, I would have not had so many friends, who help me correct my dumb mistakes. LOVE To All.
