I have a James Lawson Married to Dora Shepherd. i have their decendents. i wonder if they could be the same. James and Mehala are listed in the 1870 Patrick County census with 4 children ( Beverage M.; Thomas G.; Lurinda E.; and Lucinda A.) and Mehala's two sons from the marriage to Jonathan ( Charles D. and John W.)
