Barb, James M. Lawson and Mahala... James M. Lawsons father was Isham L. Lawson b. 15 Aug. 1814 in Va. he married Charlotte Hughes b. 1 May 1805 on 19 May 1838 in Patrick County, Va. Isham died 19 July 1897 and Charlotte died 27 MAr 1890 both in Patrick County,Va. Their children were; Louvenia F. b. 1839 m. Samuel Harris, Thomas 'Green" b. 1840, James M. b. 9 May 1844 m. Mahala Dehart, Beverage Monroe b. 9 May 1844 never married and died 6 Oct. 1863, (twins were James M. and Beverage) George W.C. b. 1848 m. Elizabeth C. Ratcliff, Isaac W.C., b. 1850 m. L. Elizabeth Jefferson, Nancy Elizabeth b. abt. 1850 m. P.D. Lawson. Isham amd Charlotte were listed in 1850, 1860, and 1870 census of Patrick County, Va. Charlotte Hughes Lawson brother was Beverage Hughes living next door to them in 1850, and sister of Isham was prob. Eliza Lawson who married son of Beverage Hughes, William J. Hughes.
