Barb S. & Tracy, Thought I felt my ears burning today:} First, thanks Barb S. I corrected the 1850 FCVA Annotated Census to reflect the proper parents of Joshua & Mary. It was probably a case of Jr & Sr being used to differientiate the two Joshuas & no indication of their being father & son. This was done quite often I'm told. Sorry, I should know better. But.... Lets not be so quick to rule out this Joshua B. & Mary Underwood-Underwood. In 1860 this Joshua & Mary so have a dau "Manda A." who is 6 yo. or at least this is the way I read it. One other thing - In Wingfield's Marriages in Franklin Co. - He says Joshua - s/o William - marr. Mary Underwood - d/o Joseph In Barb R. Annotated 1850 Floyd Co. Census she says Joshua that married Mary Underwood was Joshua Jr. and the s/o Joshua Sr. The 1850 Floyd Census has a Joshua Jr. and Sr. but no William. The 1860 Floyd Census has Joshua and Mary and family but no Joshua Sr. Patrick Co. Census 1850 has only Samuel Underwood. She should be on the 1860 Patrick Census - don't know anyone who has that.
