Hi Cousin Jane, Yes indeed we have a connection. Your gggrandmother, Mary Jane Griffith, was the second oldest child of my John Crafty Griffith. I think your Elijah Griffith is part of my family, also, but I have not found the connection yet. I am carrying him in my Family Tree Maker file as an unattached person for the time being so I can collect all the information I can find on him to keep it handy. He is the son of John Griffith, but not of John Crafty Griffith. There are at least two and possibly three John Griffith's around during John Crafty Griffith's time. I think they all could be related to one another. I am guessing they were cousins, but who knows for sure. John Crafty Griffith did have a son named Elijah J. Griffith, but he was born later that your Elijah. I am descended from Sparrel Tyler Griffith. I will send you what I have on John Crafty's children now and if you want more, I can share a lot of Griffith information with you.
