Hi - thanks for entering in - I think that seems logical. Amanda would've been 6yo in 1860. They very well could've used a nickname in those days for the census-taker. I feel better. I checked out the 1870 census too and didn't find them there. Now - I'm back on track - just have to start looking for the info. on her parents, Joshua and Mary. There are so many Underwood families in that area, and I still haven't figured out - are they related or just have the same surname? What do you guys think?? Thanks - Tracy in WA
