VA and his younger brother Clarence (Clarey) McCanless born 1849 in Patrick Co. VA. In a letter written by their father on Jul 12, 1874, he states that William Oscar is practicing medicine in Thomasburg, VA, and that he has no idea what happened to Clarey. I have not been able to find any Thomasburg, VA. Thanks
