Hello, Jeff. I'm responding to the list, because I would like to ask for help from anyone who might recognize any of these families. I'd love to hear from other Hollandsworth researchers who are familiar with VA. I think you and I have a Hollandsworth connection, but I'm not sure. I've done a lot of work on my husband's Hollandsworths after they came to WV around 1867, but I'm not comfortable yet with the connections in VA. I have corresponded with other Hollandsworth researchers from my line, but they have done the work in VA and I'm not sure how well documented it is. Here's what I have in outline: 1. Thomas Hollandsworth (m. Susannah Mayze) 2. James Hollandsworth, Sr. (b. ca. 1771; m. Nancy Smallman -- Craddock??) 3. James Hollandsworth, Jr. (b. ca. 1815; m. Catherine Purdy) From James and Catherine onward, my documentation is very good. 4. Anna America Hollandsworth (b. 1856, Patrick Co., VA; d. 1936, Putnam Co., WV; m. ca. 1873 in Putnam or Lincoln Co., WV, James S. Lawson). Anna Hollandsworth and James Lawson are my husband's paternal gr grandparents. I also have another Hollandsworth connection on my husband's maternal side. I know they are the same family and that they came from VA to WV at the same time. Here's what I have on them: Sophia Hollandsworth, b. ca. 1841 in Patrick Co., VA died after 1910 when she was living in Putnam Co., WV. She married, in Putnam Co., David P. Burns, Jr. She and David are my husband's maternal gr. grandparents. Sophia's parents are Peter Hollandsworth & Mary ? whose maiden name may have been Hollandsworth as well. Their children that I know are Sophia Hollandsworth, m. David Burns Susan Hollandsworth Julia Ann Hollandsworth, m. Peter Burns (brother of David P. Burns) James M. Hollandsworth Robert Hollandsworth. Some researchers say Peter Hollandsworth's parents are William Hollandsworth & Milley Corn. I have no idea of the accuracy of this. I would appreciate any help in documenting the VA connections. Thanks for writing, Jeff.
