I asked Eunice Kirkman this question (Eunice is a local historian in Patrick County and here was her response: "At one time this was a small community just south of Stuart. It was renamed Claudeville. I realize that Batement is in Patrick County. It was listed in 1898/99 as "Batement Post Office." My challenge is in trying to find where it is/was located in Patrick County. It, more than likely, was a very small community that could have been absorbed into another community. Thanks to all for trying. If I locate it, I will let you know.
